The best way to speak of love is to live in love. The best way to share a dream is to live in the presence of it. The only way one can truly speak of anything is through their actions. Words are abstract intellectual musings that do not compare to the present moment of the action. There is an immediacy in the art of living that cannot be matched by representations of what has passed. Spend time in the presence of love and in the fulfillment of your hearts dreams. It is here that we resonate with every other single humane being who has ever been or will ever be.

Returning to Balance

The haze has dissipated along with the weight in my breath. There is a lightness in the heart as well as a clearing of the organs. I am returning to the body of my balanced being as I commit to better practices and peace. There is much health to be found in the expansion of time.

I am not sure when the compression started or even how it got to be so heavy. Yet, those of us who endure and press on, we miss the signs our body speaks. We are busy working so diligently deepening our engagement as well as the engagement and investment of those around us that we sometimes forget the stillness that requires balance. I forget to return to my practice.

There is a remarkable difference in my heart when there is space in-between time and consciousness within moments. I appreciate the vastness of now and remember that this is where the creative voice enjoys being most of all. This is where I prefer to walk without walking, create without forcing and listen to the lost language of space. I always seem to find the vibration of the heart here.

How do I carry this sensibility with me always? How can I establish boundaries and allow myself to still be productive and engaged, yet allow for the amount of space necessary for lightness of breath and good health? Can I listen even more to the organs that sustain my life? Can I answer their requests as they are far more important than my desires of my intellect?

Perhaps the wisdom of our spirit does not sit in the brain at all. Perhaps the wisdom of our lives is housed in the very organs of our bodies. Can we meditate on them? Can we honor the gods that live inside of them? Can we worship ourselves at the source of our being rather than the ego that lives in the mind?

Lost Language of Space

There is a language lost inside the chaos of contradictory images of space and time. We are a drift in a time of dissolution. Floating aimlessly amidst the sea of “noise” that drowns out the voice of spirit and truth for the survival of the human spirit. Now, more than ever, is there a need for the investigation and cultivation of the quiet. A pressing need to find the distilled reason for being. I can think of no better time than the present to question personal behavior and claim a responsibility for ourselves and our spirit. No better time to accept our own role as the leader and director of our life and lively hood. It is too late for blame. It is too late to wait around for someone or something to bail us out. It is we who should help ourselves in order to help those we love, along with the things we love to do, thus allowing us to fulfill our spirit and bring us joy. It is important to embark on a journey in which we meander our personal labyrinth to sift through the chaos. It is important for us to press what does not matter away from the center of our beings. Chaos has cluttered the space around us and the space within us is collapsing. Fill the space within with an energy and light that will allow for an expansion of the spirit. Allow the space to be a sanctuary and sacred space for you to be; safe and flowing with the freedom for the mind and central nervous system to speak clearly to the body for healing and well-being. As we create space within, the space without will be created. When we find the space to live, we will find the space to listen. When we find the time to listen, we will hear the lost voice of our soul and start living the life that is ours. Finally we will find freedom to live the life that our spirit has been trying to live since the day we were born. This is freedom. This is the desire of the heart.

Perhaps it is time to acknowledge once again the vibrations of my being. I admitted to myself that I am a healer and that in doing so I accepted myself as a being healing both body and soul through the art of dance. This past year has been transformative in ways that I could not have possibly imagined. Ironically, one of the biggest people who have transformed from this shift in conscious acceptance has been me.

The year has been a journey, but the year is now in the past and I stand at a present fork in the road. The choice is to move forward adding to or to move around and circle back. As I face this choice, I realize I must move forward. To accept myself, as just a healer is not the complete fully vibrational being I am. I know there is much missing; much left undone and undiscovered.

What is speaking to me in this moment of choosing is the creative heart. I have been very prolific this year, yes. However, I have not fully realized the wealth of this stream. I have waded, but I have not immersed myself fully and let the currents of this universal creative flow carry me. The choice to make is to travel the path of the river flowing towards the vast ocean of creative wonder and ultimately creative surrender.

I realize that being a healer and acknowledging myself and my gifts in this arena was more a journey of healing myself. I am figuring that out now and will continue to heal others and myself through movement as I add in another claim. I was given a name not too long ago that brought much light and laughter but in really looking at it, the universe is nudging me to accept my name in the role at which I need to embrace. Now, I have chosen to absorb the identity that was gently whispered making the two parts of my being whole.

The path I choose is to float with faith as a healing wizard. An enchanted being healing and crating with magic and wonder. It is time to be bold in my artistic statements letting the vision create transformative enchanted landscapes by the light of the stars. This is but a development of a healer and an expansion of the creative voice no longer fearing the clamoring of the doubtful and fearful crowd.

What magic will be revealed as the healing and kinetic spells are cast? This is the right of waving the creative wand.

Suspended points in space framing the blue

Shaping the circumference

The relationship of the internal referencing the vast

Experiencing the divine

It is not for the body to know more than it feels

Simplicity in the act of a movement

Bringing the mind into consciousness

Seeing things as they are

Comprehending limitless possibilities

Presented by potential space

It is not a mistake that we move to be moved

Unconditional joy in being

I AM…

I AM

I am a maker of dance, both the ephemeral imagery in space as well as the physical beings who transcribe them. The shape of the space in which the physical reality of a work exists is where I feel at home in my skin. It is this transparency and manifestation of concept that thrills me most.

I like to speak with movement and express the desires of my heart through the physical articulation of bone and blood. As the body traces space, hitting point by point the architectural blue prints of choreography, the soul revels in ecstasy as it etches each work.

I like to listen to the world with my feet hearing the subtle churning and shifting of its rotation and the chaos of its populations. When the foot becomes receiver, the heart becomes the poet allowing for the majesty of imagery to create the kinetic hologram of dance.

I am a maker of dance. I am a shaper of space. I am a poet of kinetic proportions penning movement into magic and mystery.

Words for the dancers of “Blind Sight”

Blind Sight

If you were to possess the ability to see, that which does not exist, you would most clearly understand the depth and expanse of your immediate reality. You would understand that there are things that surround you, carry you, and support the very vibration that is you.

If you could allow yourself to trust in the Universe to guide you, humble yourself in faith so deep you would radiate the light, you would believe that underneath it all, you already possess the wings to fly.

What you do not know does not mean it is not already there. You already embody what is needed to soar beyond your wildest imaginings and the question now is whether you will be able to see it inside yourself and in those that surround you at this present moment.

There is a great animal inside of you. Let it be free. Let it be your companion on this journey tonight. You have built a relationship with it to no longer fear it. Wild does not mean without heart, it means living with an enchanted abandonment that our hearts hunger to express. Run alongside that animal, for it is the very embodiment of the spirit within.

These are the spirits I see with my blind sight; the spirit of your true nature in all of its glory. Do you have the courage to see it yourself while allowing for a moment, others to see it in you, too?

Bridging the River of Timelessness

With each step, we are pushed upwards towards the heavens. With each breath, heaven absorbs us. We live in a constant state of rise and fall, evolution and demise as well as continual transformation. This is what creates the movement that guides us all towards the ultimate freedom of transcendence.

In these quiet, contemplative steps, we must be mindful of the very moments we inhabit. These moments help us to understand the magnitude of our being in order to recognize the bridges needed to cross the river of timelessness.

There needs to be no fear for what is to come. That which is our present, is the angel that keeps us safe. In this present moment of awareness, we understand all things as time ceases to have importance. It is this moment that the universe allows you to glimpse the radiant glory of timelessness itself. And because of this insight, you know, in the deepest parts of your spirit, that there is nothing to fear for you are the light of the universe and the universe is the light of you.
